Yeah, I have a couple of ideas already that I think will be pretty good. I think like you point out, the secret is deflecting the blade.

Breaker Box isn't a wedge/plow, that thing is a lifter and it as lots of power. In one video, to celebrate the victoty, Jim goes full power with the lifter and the robot balances on the plow and the body spins like crazy.
In my opinion, he only lost against SwerSnake because he didn't have time to fully charge the battery, as you can see at the end of the fight, he was dominating the snake.
Yeah I know it's technically not a wedge etc, I meant the shape of the blade it presents to the enemy. I've watched a lot of Breaker Box, especially in a lot of the Combots videos.
Nom nom nom. Now that i'm running boners drum so close to the ground that the teeth clash with some of the slightly uneven plates in the robochallenge arena there aren't many wedge designs that could get the better of the drum. Good luck trying to break a spinner. Generally you are just waiting for them to break themselves.
Why not Fight spinners with a spinner? ;-)

Edit: I think there are better ways to beat a spinner than a wedge
A wedge was good for me against spinners, it was hard goin against those pesky flippers though
I think you need something to stick in the blade
I'd say a proper wedge will get under any type of spinner, be it a drum or a disk
and if the wedge is a flipper as well, that's even better!
Pity I'm so far away...we could easily check that out! :wink:
Is that a brushless drive on that machine in the air?
