Hi guys,

I'm building a featherweight at the moment, and was looking to make this my first event. Is there any FW competition at Newport, or will it just be white boards? Or will there be no feathers at all?

Also, it's been about 10 years since my last featherweight event and I'm not to sure about entry. So is it just a case of sign up for FRA membership, sign up on the RobotWars site, and I'm done? Or is there anything else I have to get signed up for before the event?

Guys,

Due to some behind the scenes logistical problems, clashing with some other projects we are working on we have taken the decision to move the event to the week following.

it will now take place on 20th / 21st July 2013.

if any roboteers have booked hotels already, send us your booking confirmation and we will see what we can do about it if you can't move your booking.

Team Saint are booked in, looking forward to this event hope, to have both heavies going. Cherub has no front armor at the moment but should have something soon, TBH there isn't anything in the front to protect!

Yay, don't know what the uproar is mind. They weight very little, do very little & are massive liability to whoever has one on their lid.

Newport - Robot Wars Championships sign ups are now open !

18 heavyweight places available for the comp, more for whiteboard is fine.
1 robot per driver rule and weight limit will be adheared to.

Feathers welcome although will only have one fight per show.

Signup for the main Heavyweight draw will close in 1 weeks time to allow time to plan the format and announce seeds.

They close 11am Monday 8th july 2013

Am I right in thinking this is the last RR event til october? I cant see anything on the contrary but that seems a bit weird...

We might be slotting in something special in August so you might get a chance, we've got a lot of opportunities coming up at the moment, not sure what's going to happen, doors are opening all over the place !!

We'll be booking a holiday in August soon-ish and we want to make sure there isn't a clash
