Been looking around for some new ESC's and in not sure what to go for as im only using 2 drill motors right now on 18v. Looking to get better esc's with a view of speed 900 upgrade
Looked at botbitz, victors, sabtertooth and scorpion and know they are all tried and tested, but want to see what peoples preferences are
Botbitz 85a all the way. Very tough, amazing customer support and best value for money.
Admittedly haven't used anything else (so why am I here?) but thus far we see no reason at all to move away from Botbitz for our future endeavors.

Which model scorpion would you recommend?
XXL Ilyama version, as long you don't go over 4S Lipo, otherwise the TZ85 from BotBitz.
Scorpion XXL V2 , use one in cobalt and its brilliant on 4s
Surprised to hear the Scorpion has such a low voltage rating, never realised that.
Considering upgrading the ESCs in Bitza but we run a 6s.

The voltage rating of a Scorpion XXL is 6S+. But the problem is in the current limiting. A speed 900 @6S does take 45A+ in acceleration or fast forward/backward.
And the speedo takes a tiny amount of time to reset the current limiting.
The above is why I went to Victors, much higher current limiting so I can dump as much as I need into my 900's. The Botbitz 85a may well do the trick, but I've yet to have any issues with my victors.
