As expected the length is now about 200mm and the height is 140mm with the gauge (110mm without) this is going to be removed and replaced with a pressure switch to control maximum pressure to about 3Bar.

I am thinking of making one for a weapon actuator just to see how it dose
and Dave yes you were the only one who tried to stop it and did.
I made it just for testing to see if I could power a weapon with it, maybe a lifter or grabber.
It's made the same way as yours but with a regular bike inner tube (about 30mm diameter), 450mm long and has a stroke of around 80mm which is a bit pathetic! Braided hose goes from 30 to 45mm. In that video it is lifting around 100lbs at which point we ran out of weights to put on it. Looked like it could lift a bit more but as more load it put on it contacts less.
Was running at around 80psi but there was a leak somewhere so that kept dropping rapidly.
The encaps were made from aluminium and had a groove machined into them to provide more grip for the jubilee clip.
I wonder if you used stainless steel braided hose if you could run off full pressure CO2? Wouldn't want to be around during testing though!

Just a few things to do
one is to change the radio over to DX6
and sort out the link LED.
then ready for action.
After being ill over the Christmas with a bad chest I was able to get back into the garage to do a little bit on the robot the new motor mounts are now about finished and the new end plate is fitted on one side. the other side should not take long and then it is just a case of bolting it all together again, with the smaller motors I am hoping the Wotty will prove more reliable.

I know there are a few people who have connections in the Astro-Droid community. and am asking for any help you can give me please.
The bottom line is I sold Spiderbot and my youngest daughter was a little upset (to say the least!) and I said I would make something she could drive and I know she would love this.
The information I require is basic,
The dimensions of the base sphere and the head dome
The Droid stuff are the details used on this one similar to the R2D2 Droids
The colours type of paint used and stuff like this.
Information on suppliers of these parts would be fantastic.
I have joined the Astro Droid forum too. but they don't know me, you lot do.
Naturally I have no intention of infringing copyright or anything else. I also understand some information may not be shared on an open forum. so PM me if this is better for you, no information regarding this project will be shared without permission.

Thanks for the input guys I think I have figured out the mechanical side of the project, I just need some info on the size of the main parts I think the main body sphere is 500mm and the head dome is about 300mm diameter. the lenses on the head i have no idea what they are or were to get them. if you know of a reliable sorce for this information I would be very grateful.

In the picture above you can see the motor can of one of the drive Bosch750 motors for Cherub. The last fight when it was unceremoniously thrown OOTA. the magnets came adrift , fortunately the clip that holds the magnets in place (with the adhesive) fel into the armature jamming the whole motor so when I took it appart the armature was in perfrct condition. I had a spare can with the magnet retaining kit already fitted. A nice easy fix.
