I dont know about force, but from experience, kan opener is a tin opener compared to tiberious.

Most top heavyweights nowadays have 3mm hardox somewhere one them and I dont think Kanopener can touch it. It was always Andy's goal but he never managed it. Its bad enough drilling the stuff.

However Tiberious just munches through it, thats why I fear it !!

Tiberius can run up to 4000psi ( Can be turned up and down ) can go through hardox and bend chassis's so doesn't need to have more, probably in the region of 5t when turned up

10,000psi is a stupid limit as it can only be achieved with 10's of thousand of pounds of parts ( but if you know someone which can supply parts out of the back of a lorry then get in touch )

Dealing with hydraulics at the rig that will happily handle 20k psi and seeing some of the dangers of high pressure hydraulics I still see no reason for the limit to be 10k. 5k is plenty for our needs

Andy Kane was the man behind putting the limit up, but it's my opinion he wanted to do it to make Kan Opener more competitive, and he could get the bits he wanted more easily than most. Problem is (correct me if I am wrong) Kan opener was already right on the weight limit and the chassis was bending under the old pressure. Seems odd to me.

Andy always stated it was to make hydraulics more competitive. And from a safety point of view there are no concerns providing suitably certified parts are used. As with most things the limitation is cost. No reason to hold back advancement.

Not really the spinners I fear - it's the owners. I'm not using up all my limited resources & holiday to get trashed as a chew toy for an ingallant spinner owner with an Hypnodisc fixation.
