Hi there, and welcome to the forum!
    Well, straight to buisness:
I suggest building an antweight for your first robot rather than buying one, for these reasons:
    1. You learn more by building one
    2. The satisfaction of knowing that 'I built that' is great!

Building an antweight yourself can cost quite a bit, as I've found, my latest one has cost over £150, but thats with full Metal Gearmotor drive and hefty servo flipper, so I doubt a first robot will cost over £100. If you're new, heres a basic guide:

But if you really don't want to build one, try one of the Battle Antz from Roaming Robots. My first robot was one, and although they have a weight advantage of 100g, they're allowed in the RR Ant Arena (NOT at Antweight World Series), but they do have quite weak armour in my experience.

    Hiya,

The latest spec of Battle Antz are slightly different as they are now 3d printed instead of laser cut acrylic, do they are much stronger.

To give you an idea, I built a robot for someone recently and it cost £100 exactly, and it had gearmotor drive, a powerful weapon servo and the price includes the transmitter and charger, and its fully Antweight World Series legal.
