  1. #1
    Hi guys,

I'm trying to convert my nitro 1/8th scale car to electric and looking at brushless systems, anyone got any knowledge or advice on a good combo etc? I have asked on car forums as well but the more help the better

    cheers

What budget have you got for it?

I converted a 1:8 scale nitro car to brushless. I recently replaced that system for this:

A Trackstar 150A ESC and 2650kv motor, with a programming card. (Ignore the battteries, they are for a feather). The whole set costs about 100 euro. All I needed besides that was a brushless motor mount for it and a battery tray.

im probably looking at that being my max price for converting, as i am planning to use nimh battery packs i already have and chargers etc. dont really want to be buying lipos and more chargers, becuase at the end of the day its for fun i wont be racing or anything

where might i buy such a setup? and is it a speedy one?

    thanks for the help

looks good, it happens to be a hyper 7 tq sport so spot on did that choice work out well for those conversions?

    cheers

A Hobbywing 9T motor is a 380 size motor in a 540 size can, not very suited for a 1/8th scale (actually I wouldn't use it in one of my 1/10th scales either).

My conversion (which is also a Hyper as it happens) is somewhere on that forum as well.
