My recent inability to do the HWs justice has got me thinking about selling a few of them on, as those who have met me may know I damaged my ankle ligaments 2 and a half years ago and it hasn't really fixed it after having surgery. Then, during rehab, I managed to do myself even more damage, so i'm currently recovering from another operation which will prevent me from doing any lifting for the next few months. I am taking this as a possible sign

I won't describe them as you all know what are and what they do (if not look left and find them on youtube

), one thing I will say is that I will not sell them for the sake of doing so and therefore only sensible offers will be even remotely considered. If you wish me to describe the current state of any of the robots then either PM me or ask me on here. I'm still not 100% on parting with them so may well decide not to go through with it but just testing the water to see if there is any interest.

I will also consolidate my other various sale threads into one and add more stuff over time depending on how the above goes

Radio Gear:

Futaba 6ex with 3 external failsafes, receiver, rx battery and tx charger. Will go on ebay this weekend if I am able to get photos of it, to be perfectly honest its probably not the best for this hobby

Planet 5 with receiver

Futaba 40MHz receiver

Motors:

MFA 919D series with wheels and mounts : probably ok for BWs and I think they fit Zeobots if anyone still runs them. Would fit a FW but might be a little underpowered.

Klaxon motor from Scar

Misc:

1.75 tonne hydraulic car jack: can probably be used by someone somewhere

Batteries:

12v 12Ah SLA batteries
12v 10Ah SLA batteries

ESC's:

Old school wheelchair controller used in Eric before the upgrade, not sure how it works but been told that it does work.

I would actually genuinely be interested in Scar if that was one of the ones you would be thinking of possibly selling (depending on what the water's like when you test it :P)
But I don't know how well that would work with it being 50% of your team name

May just be a whim, or maybe it's just too shiny to ignore!

I saw that you were posting there Jamie and I thought it would be about Scar

You mentioned that to me before and you had the same idea that I had on improving it.

That team name came about when we couldn't think of anything else to call ourselves and needed something to put on the application form in 2010 for the Champs, so wouldn't be too bummed about losing it.

If I decide to go for it you'll be top of the list for Scar Jamie

As the only Scottish roboteer without a heavy, I feel like I need to join the club :P
But no pressure to sell it if you don't want to. You did spend a helluva lot of time bringing it back from the rust-heap in the sky after all!

Like you said, we both have similar ideas for how it could be restored so either way, it would be in good hands. I'd need to shift some of the stuff in my shed first to free up space and funds, but yeah, keep me posted on your thoughts

Yeah I liked restoring it, and probably have a lot of the parts that would be needed to get it going somewhere in the garage too (although the ESC would be 4QD so you might run and hide after our last experience with them...) but i'm thinking that its maybe time to allow it to be taken beyond restoration and turned into an active robot again. You probably already know/remember, but the parts I have for it are the body, wheels, lid (part made), disc and disc motor. Could probably find ESCs and batteries too, either 4QD or wheelchair to go along with it if you wanted.

I'm in no rush to move it on, so if I decide to get rid then it and we work something out it can live up here for as long as you need it to.

Surprisingly didn't get much interest in the robots, so if I don't hear anything in the next few days i'll remove them from the sale too and do other things with them
