Thread: International rules

  1. #1
    Hey guys

Someone was saying the other day the american pneumatic rules are a lot different to ours, to the point we couldn't run our FW's over there (despite us bringing ourselves to their weight limit). Can someone shed some light on this ?

Also, from a safety standpoint, would arena marshells be willing to disarm a robot that used one of those Whyachi switches you turn with a long allen key, or would you insist on a link (even if we were not running FRA rules) ?

There are several rulesets in the US and the FRA has worked in the past to harmonise the rules where possible. Of course the day we have a single rule set internationally will be a good one but currently they are not too dissimilar. US competition also normally provide limited exemption for international competitors. It is best to contact the event organiser to discuss the requirements specifically.

The only exception given to requiring a removable link would be for international competitors built to a current ruleset where this type of power switch is allowed. And again this would require prior approval.
