great event, thanks to all involved and who took part,
I have most of the fights to upload later to youtube - Photon 2 went well although one of the motor gearboxes appears to have given out on the last fight (the robot really took some hammer over the weekend and was launched into the ceiling net on its first fight!)

Well that was a weekend and a half!

We really loved it, Saint performed brilliantly didn't miss a beat and Zack's driving was so much better than mine
Saint must have done about 5 fights over the weekend hitting everything having a great battle with Tiberius.
I don't think we won a single fight but who cares great fun

had a great time Saturday evening with Team Bud too Hi guys.

Many congrats to the new UK champs Team Big Nipper well done, and to Team Shock for a close second.
and also to the Tag Team champs well done lads.

Also A mega thanks to the Robots Live crew who made it such a spectacular weekend.

Had a great time at this event. Many thanks to the Robots Live crew for all their work hosting and running it, nice to experience one of your full-scale events.
Congrats to Big Nipper for winning the title, to Maelstrom for second (my money was on you!) and to Toxic for a well-fought 3rd place. Also well done to Toon Raider/Eruption for claiming victory in the tag team event.

Main highlight for me - as it seems to be for everyone else too - was the Heat C battle between Iron-Awe, Tiberius and Toon Raider. A right good rumble which ended with all three robots stuck in some form or other and a decision that could have gone any way.
Also enjoying the grudge that is developing between Cobalt and Drumroll, made for some entertaining whiteboards
And not to mention Skelly getting stuck up at the top of the rope, requiring a cherry picker and long broom handle to get her down. Poor girl.

Thanks for a great weekend, hope to do it all again soon! Pictures to follow; got vids as well but Jarvis has outstandingly managed to capture and upload every fight so I may just upload a little highlights video

Congratulations to the 2012 UK Champions Big Nipper.

A superb weekend of Fighting Robots with some exellent fights. A well deserved 2nd place to Maelstrom and honourable 3rd to Toxic. Congratulations also to Michael and Alex on winning the Tag Team Title.

Our fight with Iron Awe and Tiberius was an absolute gem ,thanks Jarvis for getting the video on here for me so quickly.We managed to survive 5 fights in 2 days with Tiberius, pure luck and a nice guy on the weapon,thanks Tom.

Thanks to Alan and all of the Robots Live team for hosting it for us and all of your hard work in puting your events on this year.

Thats us done for this year as we cannot make it to Gloucester.See you all in the new year.

First of all a big congratulations to our new UK Champions Big Nipper, it has been improving all year, not bad for a machine that must be over 10 years old! Well done to Maelstrom and Toxic for 2nd and 3rd.

Congratulations to the Eruption and Toon Raider guys for winning the Tag Team.

Thank you to our 3 judges who did a great job (well most of the time anyway ) its a thankless job, always brings controversy with it, not a job i would like to do.

As always a huge thank you to the crew; all the Dave's and both the Eds, and a great job as always, Thank you to everybody who helped over the weekend with the arena and other jobs, i'll try to remember them all; The Lales, Wendy S, Terry (not Toby though, can you leave him at home next time Terry? ), Eruption guys, Ray, Ceri, Swanny (cheers for the scales, if you want them back you best get bidding on ebay for them!) and to the Big Nipper guys who have helped us out alot this year, and instead of going out and celebrating last night, they were helping with the arena, true champions!

That's it for this year for the big shows, we'll back at Whitwick, Leicester on the 2nd and 3rd March for the 8th year running! There will be some more changes to the arena and the show for then, the wire ropes have worked well at the last 2 events, so they will be staying.

Burgess Hill is also booked, along with a few exciting events in the pipeline, 2012 has been our busiest year so far and next year looks to top that.

Hi alan many thanks to you and all the crew for another great event, was knackered most of monday after getting home ! congratulations to all the winners including my 3rd place which is excellent was all worth the 3kgs of steel i had to cut out on friday aswell . im not sure you will get rid of toby that easily alan , when i was telling him we must go home he said he must do all the sweeping up 1st :shock: maybe you can get him to tidy his room next .
saterday for me was sort of relaxed and i was happy as i was seeded so whatever happened on sunday was a bonus, but it was stressfull all the same.
jonno I think ive got my revenge for throwing me through the doors
my fight with big nipper was very close well done guys and my fight with kronic was good fun
alan can you ask your dad if that newspaper lady used the photo in the paper and which one ? cheers.
it was a shame that shane and jason had bad luck as I wanted them to do better, better luck next time i hope.
upgrades now over xmas i think so will see you all soon.
