Base Plate Materials

Rather than create a new thread, thought id add to this one,

designing an axe bot and trying to work out a good base material. Would 5mm Ali 6082 T6 be suitable?

Envy and Thor both use 5mm T6. Chuck has 3mm T6. It is how its supported that does help indeed.

Avenger uses a 5mm thick Bisalloy 360 base plate.
