    Update

    At last I got off my lazy arse and did some work. I have cut, drilled and screwed on the armour plates just need to do the arm now.

    I have also go a new ESC same make and model and guess what, It's still doing the same thing... great :x

    She looks like a mix of S7 Hydra and Mortis. Still need to put on some paint.

    She will be ready for the Flintshire event.

    Yeah I know the arm is not in line but hey, It's only my second robot and I'm not that good at maths.

    She weights 12.8KG, and is able lift a FW easily.

    It's looking brilliant Lewis, look forward to seeing it compete in Wales.
    How long does it take for the lifter to complete its travel?

    With no load, It fully travels at 7 sec. I was going to put a 14V linear actuator from Gimson Robotics but they sold out, now they only have a 18V version and I don't know If that will work well.

    I just hope I can get my ESC working when I get there.

    The failsafing problem on Rukia got fixed. Lewis was using a AR600 which doesn't failsafe on all channels. We borrowed an AR500 from Craig (Saint) and it worked fine.

    I thought I'll talk about Rukia's performance at the event, all I can say is it was ok. The biggest problem was the 35w bosch motors and the grub screws that came undone. And the lifter was too slow.

    The question is, were to go from here? Part of me wants to strip down all the electrical components and replace them, but I need to find small yet powerful motors and have a custom gearbox made, so they can be mounted side ways.

    The other option is to build a new, CO2 powered 4 bar version. But this requires some studying.

    maybe you could use something like this to change the angle of the drive and then use a drill unit to run it
