I probably can fit a self righter in Mr Pink. I just need to rearrange the motor and speed controller's. But I don't have the knowledge and tools to make a self righter.

a 40t gear is only a Â£5 and they're solid 17mm steel.

I get my gears form Technobots and getting mod 1.5 is more of a downgrade, if I want more speed I can just put in a 14v or 18v LiPo battery.

I can't say I know of any FWs that have a dedicated self righter.

I know Dave (360) tried but ran into loads of problems, it's all on his build diary if you want to have a look.

Update

Well the Pink is up and running, so what's changed? Well... not a lot.

New ground clearance of 7mm I want it to be 5mm but I got 7mm.

New bulkheads.

The armour is now welded together and now Mr Pink has a 3mm mild steel top with polycarbonate windows.

why? ok the lie is, is to make it look cool, the truth is it's was overweight

All that needs to be done is screw on the top and put on the new paint.

Event Report

There is not much to say. The new ground clearance give, Pink the ability to move about freely in the arena.

There are two problems at this time

1)I need more practise on driving and it don't help, the fact that Pink is a bit more twitchy with the wheels more free now.

2)This is the biggest problem I need a self righting mechanism but that requires a rebuild or a custom actuator.

At the end I'm quite happy with him but, when I get Mr. Purple built, I feel he may replace pink in the future.

Oh and I like to thank Alan and the Robots Live staff for putting on a great event. And thanks DAVE for jinxing me, Cobalt was there!.
