    hmmm i see your point from my measurements its around a 20g difference

    and when your building somethin in grams a difference of 20g is quite big as roboteers i think we all understand

    If weight is so important and strength isn't couldn't you go for a steel m3 or even m2 rod as may still be stronger but similar weight to Ali rod?

    Well doing a quick search, ebay threw up some M6 ali threaded rod and if weight is a real issue but strength isn't as bad then you could go for plastic
