Now that's cool, they look so hard to design and build
Just a few pictures of Spiderbot. I thought people would like to see this one as walkers are quite rare and it may inspire others to make and run walker robots.
I have removed the top covers and am re-mounting the motors, the idea is they should have some movement allowed. So I am making some rubber washers to help loads of spring washers and Nyloc nuts.
The old system
The new system with rubber mounting washers
Some other images of the walker
And finally the double crank that operates four legs on one side.
Hope you enjoyed looking at the Spiderbot
Spider bot, spider bot, does whatever a spider bot does....
A smaller version
Seen that video before I don't know who the robot belongs too or if it still exists in that form but it would be nice to see it at one of the shows.
I have re fitted the other motor so they are both done, and designed a new floor and electronics tray for the robot hope to get that finished this week. I took the eyes off the robot and are going to re do them so they move with the steering using a servo to move them, I am looking for lights for the eyes anyone got any ideas for that?
Froggy built it, dont know who as it now
I tried a quick forum search but it proved fruitless, would anyone know of a site/place that had the schematics for this type of system. I would like to scale it down into an antweight.
Hi the best start would be this site If you go to the concept page info can be found there.
