I was thinking of some kind of four-robot annihilator, one from each team, so there would be three fights, one per show. The first team out gets nothing, and increasing points from then on for 3rd, 2nd & the winner.
    Just a suggestion.

The problem with Annihilators at live events is, you load 4-8 robots in the arena, somebody gets flipped OOTA or dies in the first few seconds, then you have to stop the fight, when you still have the rest of the robots are still ready to fight, it all seems abit of a waste. That's why there isn't annihilators at live events, it could only work on a TV show. But keep the ideas coming.

Maybe robot high jump? More one for the flippers but load a few all turned over and see who can get the highest?

Fairly crummy idea but I'm trying

With the 'craig danby' annihilators, even if one gets immobilised the fight continues until the end of 3mins or until there's 1 left standing. Robot that goes out first gets eliminated.

Just put 8 robots in, 2 from each team, and when both robots from each team are out the team are out.
At the end of the fight award the teams 1st - 4th place on whos left running. That's like an Annihilator without the messing about of stopping a fight half way through ! :-)

That's what Andy Kane's issue at the O2 was because he couldn't understand as a show annihilators don't work, the fight has to last the full distance or it could be over in 5 seconds and that's no good.
