I have been looking at alternatives to a metal case protect my Li-Po's as have stupidly not taken into account the width of the wires in the robot... anyway...

I was thinking about having a 2 part 3D printed case made. An outer part made from Nylon and an inner part made from this 'rubberlike' stuff...

I am having to increase the thickness of the armour to make space for the wires anyway so it will have 20mm of HDPE over the top as well, 20mm at the side (possibly 40mm) and 10mm Nylon on the bottom along with a piece of 4mm Ti on the side of the big li-po. (Its great what you can find lying around in uni! )

I know it dosn't stop it if it were to go up but it would make it almost impossible to get to and with a Lipo cut off and a fuse and a room full of people watching I think it would be safe enough.

Can any one see any major problems?
