And ESC for the bar lol

If you go for a car fan motor (or even Speed 900s) I'd just go for a battle switch/relay combo. Spinner ESCs aren't really necessary (brushless stuff aside) as most of the time you'll be running at full speed anyway. Just easier to flick a switch and enjoy the buzz of it spin up

Don't be surprised if the cost of things such as pulleys, belts and various washers and/or fixings needed for a spinner is more than you might have expected. With my first spinner I spent a fair few quid on things I thought I'd need but didn't, or didn't use because they weren't quite right for the design. A good degree of planning can help but trial and error plays a big part.

    So current list is:

    Box frame chassis
    Polycarb armour
    2 drill motors
    Set of wheels
15a ESC with 30a fuses to run 18v
    18v Nimh pack
    Fan motor
    Stainless steel bar
Relay/ESC, what ever I can get
2 pulleys for 1:1 ratio? Not sure yet
    Belt
    Various bolts etc

    All sounding good?

Sounds fine. You will also need a shaft and bearings for the bar. I'd recommend a shaft of at least 17mm diameter silver steel or similar.

These would do for timing belts/pulleys for the bar. Make sure you get a spare belt or two.

You can go for the box section construction if you want but few feathers go that way. Instead the monocoque is prefered. You've got a number of options but the easiest to make is a plastic based one. Nylon for structural bits and pieces.

    Cheers Gary, forgot about that

I've got enough for armour, spare esc's, metal for chassis

So I need some motors, wheels, batteries and the disk set up. Should come under £120 if I shop right. This will probably be a one event spinner just too see how it goes

even at the worst, it should cost £140 to build the spinner

if i can sell enough of my crap that i dont need then it should be achievable
