    up the voltage?

What speed controller are you using ? I get the feeling the motors will draw some considerable power.

@ 19.8 V we had the problem Kashei's scorpion XXL started cutting out on the Speed 900 MSR 12-54 combination with 100mm wheels. We solved it with a Sidewinder.

As the copies have a higher current draw, it could be that 25A ain't enough.

On the other hand, if the wheels ain't too grippy, it should limit the power used.

Simplest solution if the speedo's cut out on overcurrent, less V.

Something I think will be needed whatsoever.

    Those cheapo's run a lot faster than a Graupner Speed 900. I messured them 11000 rpm @12V

    11000/12=900 rpm/v
    900*14.4V=12960 rpm

Gearratio 5-1. 2592 rpm on the wheels.

    0,125m*pi*2592= 1017m/min=61km/h

How much!? The stats on the seller's page say 6700 rpm no load at 12v!

Well that changes my predicted measurements slightly....
