forum filters are a pain to get around at times

Haha, I freely admit I must have been a right pain, but the way I learn is keep going over things until I remember them, but that does sadly mean I need to re-post things sometimes

The forum has been a little quite but it's just getting back into the season so that might be a reason for it? I wouldn't know as I've only been into all this just over a year, so compared to 80% of this forum, I'm still very much a learner, and I will quite happily say I am as I don't know even a quarter of what most know on here

I may seem a little dim sometimes, but I just learn about the stuff that I need to know to build and run the bots that I have, but once I've got them running I'm usually fine.

IMO, this all comes down too sharing out great knowledge from a lot of knowledgable people, and if this means answering the same question to 4 different people, then you have collectively helped out those people learn and keep the future of robot combat brighter. Shouldnt necceserily shun people just for wanting to learn

My view is purely from a the prospective of someone new in the sport though, so it may well differ to the older snd more experienced guys

I am in total agreement with the sentiments of Gary and Matt. The new forum users are just trying to learn the way we do stuff (and by asking it a few times, you'll get varied answers), and I am sure there are many people on here that were the same to start with. It is a great shame that there are so many people that feel animosity towards the new guys when they are likely to be the future of this spobby, and if you don't want to try and help the next generation, then be silent. No need to berate them.

Having re-read my post i would like to make a quick amendment. I do not have anything against new guys coming into the sport and learning everything, I was there at one time and understand how it feels. I just get a bIt frustrated when we answer the same questions over and over again. This is my opinion if others don't agree I understand but that's how I feel. Like I previously said, I think a tutorial/FAQ section would really help. I would gladly help create some tutorials if thats what needed?

Will do Kane, will create some tutorials ASAP. It would be cool if i had some other people to help me though. I remember MartSard had a great featherweight tutorial and theres a few Antweight guides kicking about, so any help would be appreciated. Also, can i get a rough idea of questions people want answered? im going to do most of the frequently asked questions (AKA what motors/batterys/RC/ESC should i use etc). Should be good.

EDIT: Oh and Kane/any other Admins, i seem to have accidentally removed my FRA membership number from my profile, would it be stored in a database somewhere?
