Haha, loving the sounds it makes, cling, clang.
I think spinner BW are going to be very popular because you can get a sufficient brushless system for very little money.

Neither it is, but to be fair, Deegan asked about non-spinner beetleweights rather than non-spinner events.Originally Posted by harry hills

ah right, sorry, too early in the moring and i was confusing it with his event thread
Alex (bodge job) owns the little flipper clone. It turned out that we couldnt get the pneumatics to work so we built a drum spinner instead.
When I get round to getting a lathe I will hopefully make a new lp ram so we could get it working
Yeh I made the body for it, and because of problems with pneumatics (there's a big step inbetween the little ant parts and the feather ones with little parts inbetween) so I was looking at an alternative system since, eg electric, servo or solonoid, or a spring system, but all systems seem to be weighty, gonna have to lighten it all. Will have another go at getting it going, sometime, might do a low 50 psi system so I can make my own parts with out testing. Idk, still working it all out. And fixing the drum robot once I get a pully and a few other parts.
*realises his blunder, he too thought it said beetleweight event*
I think theres a few kicking about. The original idea for mine was a biohazard style 4bar lifter (forget about the flamethrower thing, that was only a fleeting idea in the brain of a 12 year old) i think i still have the chassis kicking around somewhere, although i seem to remember it became fodder for Tom Hazards spinner Antweight... thing. If i get round to doing this, probably a spinner of some kind, probably a FBS or something, im pretty sure i have the C.A.D for a FBS called Tartan Tornado or something
