Don't use a dip tube, it'll just draw liquid into your system. If possible have the bottle at an angle.

and when you are upside down and trying to self right your bottle is in which position?

you put your bottle in flat with a dip tube pointing up, which now points down when trying to self right.

At the end of the day you pay your money and you make your choice. In Toon Raider the bottle is flat with a dip tube.

With buffertanks ,vaporisers and some other messures drawing liquid CO2 ain't that big an issue.

But if you want to keep it simple, position the bottle so it won't draw liquid in normal operating direction.

good point clive, i can see the advantages of dip tubes in certain scenarios now. i've always removed them soon as, i guess it's a matter of your design/preference whether or not you decide to go with dip tube(s).

use thin pipe from your main tank to your buffers, this'll restrict gas flow to your buffer helping prevent liquid co2 being pulled into the system and freezing it (i think)

do people still use 'liquid stoppers' in their systems?

In some setups I do use liquid stoppers, baffles or filters. It all depends on what where and how.

Right my answer to this is .......

empty your bottle .... weigh 2kgs of water fill your bottle should come to less than half way .... so
make sure your dip tube finishes half way so if your bottle is sat at an angle you should not draw
liquid and if your flipped upside down the liquid should not come over the end of the tube so in effect
with a tube in you should never draw liquid ......

I MIGHT BE WRONG ...... but thats what i work on ....
