please dont.
no offence to you but i doubt you could make a very safe, effecitve spinner.
as for the question does it have to be controled, of corce it does
The spinner is not effective it's just a little brisstel bot motor and some bent metal on it it's not dangerous it's just for fun
'just for fun'.........Luke used to make these just for fun using the meccano motors and bits of meccano spinning round, still hurt if they hit you and bits tended to fly (bits of lego mainly). These often comprised a lego rc drive system and a spinny thing on the front.Originally Posted by Pugster2002
If it's for fun then you don't necessarilly need to control the spinner if it is low powered (meccano motors etc) BUT and it's a big BUT, if you start getting to the type of power where it's likely to bruise or draw blood on the spinner or the type of power where the spinner hitting anything can throw the robot more than an inch or two then you should do it properly and follow the rules for your own safety.
In any case you need to protect your eyes. Any bits which can fly can get in your eyes. It takes two seconds to put on a pair of goggles which elimenates about 98% of any risks of messing around with 'toy' spinners.
It can't even damage paper so there's nothing to worry about
The spinners 1 cm big that's all
Me and my dad are going to attach a pulley to the drive motor and add a disk on the pulley then the disk/spinner will be bigger heavyer and controlled
That's the blade
