i've just bought one of those car seat motors.....so when all the parts come i'll get this up and running and get a video up within the next week or two and see how it works.

what type of set up do you have in mind? the motor pushing......?

insert the threaded rod into the chuck of the drill and tighten it up.
screw the nut on the the threaded rod.
mount the end of the threaded rod into a bearing.
drill the holes in the nut for the stuts to screw into

We put an M10 screw into a 12v drill at 12v, put a nut on it and a tube over the top if it. It would have lifted me, I weigh 60kg. When overvolted to 18v, it could be really quite powerful. Remember though, an M10 bolt has finer threads than a carjack screw thread, so the lift will be slower, maybe less strong, but it will have better lifting capacity.

ok, havent done much as I broke my finger last month, but its getting better now so I will get back to building robots

We are going to order the Scorpian XXl soon and the car jack aswell. The lifter motor will be a dewalt on mode 1 giving 380rpm and alot of tourque, so hopefully it wont be to fast and wont stall as I lift other robots.
