    Hi,
I know that a couple of people have used rc car/boat motor controllers for featherweights- I was just wondering if anyone new of any good/cheap ones which work in a 2 wheel drive rambot running off drill motors?

And also: what is the cheapest 2.4ghz transmitter which people have used? It only needs 2 channels, I know that most people recommend the spectrum radio gear but I am after the cheapest!

Thats what Eric Jr uses on 14.4v:

If thats the voltage your after, its 2 escs for less than one electronize.

As for controllers, the giantcod one I quite like and has built in mixing etc. But if you want something a bit different this might be an option, I also see that it has built in failsafing.

I must say those controllers are really not directly comparable to Electronizes- you largely get what you pay for.

I was comparing them on price alone purely because they are also a single channel controller.Although as yet I have never had to batter the marine ones with a screwdriver to allow me to change direction.

Electronize ones will be better, but if its cheapness you're after you can go with those marines. If you want to use more than 14.4v though you may well kill them, I haven't dared to try that yet.
