    i have considered these yet ive found running 12v drills on 18v gives me a bot that's plenty quick enough

    I have that setup, and I agree, any faster and it would start getting really hard to control.

    Proper ones are £40. Got mine a few weeks ago from Cornwall models

    Woops!!!! Its: http://www.sussex-model-centre.co.uk/sh ... sp?id=5438 and i used drills before, but they don't have the strength/speed/ shape/reliability I require, bruiser used drill motors, and it was ok, but nothing better, I wont to build a faster more competitive robot, which can be fast, so it can easly get round the RL/RR arenas, with out boreing the audience...

    On the real Speed 900 what is the schematic for the attachment hole positions? Also in the pictures it looks like thee is a small bit that sticks out the front of the the mouuting frame with the shaft. What is the diameter of that and how far does it stick out from the mounting frame?

    Or does anyone have a good CAD model of it, preferably solidworks... (Yeah long shot I know)

    A speed 900 has a nose of 22mm, 6 long.
