mate, no servo board will run 7.4v for very long, anyway it would be geting 6v from the rx anyway.
Even the futaba s3003 servo craig recommends on robotwars101?
i don't know how he manged that, any way how will you get 7.4v to the board without it going to the rx?
it will go through the rx.
does the planet t5 rx have a built in voltage regulator?
7.4v will blow the rx im afraid
yep, maybe you could only have the signal wire going to the receiver and the power wires going to a jst connector and the lipo connected to the jst connector
If the servo can handle it you can connect the full battery voltage to the servo, leave the signal and negative wires and run the reciever through a regulator/ separate battery
To connect to the receiver you would need to take the signal wire and negative because it needs a return path. In donkey we run the receiver through a 7805 voltage regulator (with some capacitors on it) and connect directly to the hpx servos.

Voltage Range: Input: 3.5-9.6Volt
So it depends on the receiver specs.
servo voltage hack.
