RW pullback to antweight conversion

has anyone ever done this or ever considered doing it?

ive always liked he idea of doing a little chaos 2 or something really just for the fun of it, nothing competative, just for a laugh and since antweights dont cost all that much to build, its something i could add to when i have a few £££ spare.

just wondering qabout opinions really and to which mini-bots would make good bases?

since antweights dont cost all that much to build

wrong, mine have cost about £170 just to be mildly competitive

And im not after anything competitive, just a bit of fun really and for something to chuck in the arena during show breaks

Dan has made a Sir Killalot from a pullback toy. He also has a Matilda that he plans on doing.

I attempted Chaos 2 but, although I could fit all the parts in, I had to remove literally everything from inside it and replace some gaps in the base etc with small bits of polycarb. I never got it fully working either, although I was in a rush trying to get it ready for a competition so it didn't represent my best efforts but it way down on my to-do list now so whether I'll ever get round to getting it running, I don't know.

I think a good one would be Panic Attack. The shell is hollow and there is a good amount of room inside for components. I did pull Sir Killalot apart too to have a look and it's convertible (using micro servos to control the arms etc) but would be a little more complex.

But could you fit in the motors needed for drive, esc's, batteries, rc gear and the motors needed for the forks and self righter?

If you buy small enough components. If you use servos for drive, you don't need escs, and you could use a couple of servos for the lifter/srimech.

With the new components available, its very possible to get good components inside the shell of the pullbacks. If you want to convert any paticular toy I can help with it, if I am supplied the right parts.

Haz: The cost is down to new parts and replacing old ones. My ants, if I bought the parts from new, would probably be £100 each, not including transmitters.
