ok i'm making an adapter that screws from my bottle to my regulator.
My reg has a standard co2 nut on it and i need a die that has that thread. to use on my adapter
What is the thread called for that nut?

I don't get it. You need an adaptor to do what?

The CO2 nut thread is a bastard, bigger than the 1/2 bsp thread, but with 14TPI like the 1/2 bsp.

The Trevor Reg has a 7/8 x 14tpi UNF thread.

The bottle adapter had a 1/8 NPT outlet and the reg has a 7/8 UNF inlet.
so, i need to make an adpter that goes between them.
The side of the adapter that screws into the bottle adapter will have a 1/8 NPT thread and the other side of the adapter that screws to the reg will have a 7/8 UNF thread.

The cost for all the dies will be high, and I think it would be cheaper to get a new bottle that screws directly to the regulato.
What kind of bottles do people use?
Would a fire extinguisher work? If so where can I get a .5kg one?

You just need arefill station.

That is easely solved, any serious paintball shop sells those.

Also, if you want a refill station to fill normal CO2 bottles, there is only 1 difference, in stead of those adaptors for paintball bottles, you use CO2 nuts.

I found a way of not spending much money
Im going to take the pin valve off the bottle and make an adapter
The bottle thread is 5/8 - 14 UNF so im goig to make an adapter that will be 5/8-14 UNF to 1/4 BSP
The 1/4 BSP will screw into a on/off ball valve and then I will have another adapter that will be 1/4 BSP to 7/8 UNF that will screw from the ball valve to the reg.
Will this work?

Possibly, but it's convulted, heavy and leakprone.

Also, you don't have much options for bottles.

For heavies, the standard fire extinguiser from 1.1kg to XX kg with screw or push valve with DIN norm thread.

Feathers have 2 options. Most older and UK based feathers use an adapted 20 oz bottle with a heavyweight screw valve.

On the other hand, we see a movement to paintball valves, preferably with on/off valve, and not pinvalve.
These are standard for the bottlesize (from 3.5 to 24 oz) lighter, compacter and fo the job equaly well.

So, what bottle goes in the robot, and what one do you want to use to refill the robotbottle?

If your regulator is not directly connected to the bottle you will also require a T piece and a 1000psi pressure relief device.
So in the instance of a screw in valve you would need to have an on/off valve also and this means you also require the 1000psi pressure relief valve before the regulator.
I would recommend using a bottle with an on/off valve rather than a pin valve.
