It was 3mm stainless steel too. The hardox ring teeth were 15mm thick, with an outer diameter of 96.2mm (76.2mm inner) then teeth added on to that.
I'd go for four teeth, as I think you have the same balancing issues with three teeth as you have with two bar teeth that are split over either half of the drum. Plus with four teeth you have more weight, ergo more damage
