Thread: Pneumatic Fittings

  1. #1
    Hi,

    I have got a 20oz C02 bottle
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/approved-20oz-C ... 083&sr=8-2
and a Trev reg that came today but the 2 wont screw together

I dont know the fitting on the bottle but the reg has a 1/4 BSP inlet.
How would I be able to change the pin valve to something that would screw into the bottle and has a 1/4 BSP outlet???

The bottle uses an US thread that is so close to 1/2 bsp it doesn't matter.
You need another valve in between the Trevor and the bottle. That's the disadvantage of a pin-valve.
Therefor, you need a ballvalve with a 1/2 bsp female inlet, but also with a pin-pusher.

You can buy a seperate on/off valve for your bottle. The thread stays the same.
Or better, go to a local paintball shop, and let them change it.

Not, I guess you'll have to build it yourself, or pay top £££ for a machinist to make it for you.

I suggest replacing the pin valve with an on/off valve. Less hassle, safer and lighter.

The on/off valve should have the same tread as the pin valve. It's a rather standard thing.

    You can get these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-PAINTBALL ... 27b1369bba

Problem is that you still have issues with co2 fitting and the flow of the valve isnt that good

The flow of any bottle-valve ain't something to cheer about. That is why buffertanks or, old school liquid CO2 injection is used.
