My First (FW) bot

Hi all thought it was about time i start my build diary on here, Currently as it stands my robot is still unnamed and still in mid build but it is going to be a fw running off 2no 12v argos motors (for now).This is my first build and so far its going very well. Here are a few pictures of how i'm getting along, please comment any recommendations or advice always goes a long way. Just to let people know in some of the later pictures there is some random servos and battery holders in the shell these are only in place just to judge room for other components.

It looks very impressive, very well constructed especially for such a complecated shape. Is it all just 3mm aluminium folded and bolted?

pretty much yes part from its all riveted got a bit more work to be done yet so will go back into the work shop once i've worked out how i'm going to construct the lifting mechanism. Then after that possibly a little more strengthening in areas but as it stands its pretty solid.

Im really impressed with how the robot is coming along now. A massive thankyou to Phill crouch for his brilliant work in building the chassis from my sum what basic drawing and cardboard cut out. Its looking fantastic. Im now in the stage of working out what hinge to use to move the flipper? and some slight adapting to make the self righting mechanism work, videos will soon follow.
