Alright. That means all the spots are filled. All I need are stats from Kody and ARC stats from Martijn, and Team FRA will be ready to go.
Also Shane, I decided(just for you) to paint SM6 like Envy for this special tourney. If you don't want me to, then PM me, and I'll change it.

Hey everyone, it's Area51Escapee over from ARC. I just entered my bot for the tourney and decided to check out FRA. As I was reading this thread, I was puzzled about something. What exactly was the feud between ARC and FRA? I've been on ARC since the beginning of its formation and pretty active in all areas and I have no idea about such a thing. If it's the Joey vs. Philip thing, that was just a one-on-one thing and definitely wasn't reflective on the community. Most of the ARC mods found it to be a silly fight, actually.
Don't get the wrong idea, though. I'm not trying to start a fight or anything and I'm not angry, just curious basically. I'm glad you guys are treating this as a friendly tournament and not taking it too seriously, but I was just wondering about this. Thanks.
BTW, I'll try to hang out here more often. Seems like a cool place. :)

Let's not forget that you have to Role-Play or post tactics about your fights. Where the RP's have to be extremely diverse picking on if's when's and how the battle is going to be played. Consider this place, a lot less detailed than ARC.

just want to say here that i have no problem with arc or the fra, and if the preivious post sounded a bit full on (i would edit it but i cant, thats the one thing i dont like about this forum kane XD) all i ment was that the idea for a fra vs arc tornament is cool, i just think we should try to avoid more flamewars, and that past conflicts are, well, just that past conflicts, because i dont think anybody here wants to fight (and if you do may i sugest taking up rugby, or American football? :wink: )

I beat him before. I can beat him again. This time, his flipper won't do much because I'll be pretty much the same right side up or upside-down. Because of the way his front is, and my wedges are hinged, he won't properly be able to get completely under me from the front; he'll just flip the wedges and that will do nothing. I have a more powerful drive than he does as well, so he won't win in a pushing match either. Plus he can't stack me thanks to the spikes.
Right, that's what he can't do to me, now for what I'm going to do to it...
I have greater speed, torque, and manoeuvrability than he does, so I can easily get to his side. That I will do. Simply get there, or his rear if I can manage it. Since there are no house robots, I will open the pit first and get him down it. If said situation occurs where we lock horns, push him straight ahead. If the pit's nearby, great! He can't flip me properly from the front so I have no problem going after his front either. There's no way he can really damage me either with a flipper so that's good. And oh yeah, be careful around the pit, I don't want to fall in myself. :P
Summary: Attack him completely. Be aggressive the whole match since there's not a lot he can do to me. Ultimately get him down the pit.
Now write us some good fights, Mark, okay?

the dark side of cupid eh. having a robot called Seung Mina should win me the fight period. But flippers galore and aggression with no mercy is on the cards.
Compression 1.1 vs. Force Feedback
His ram doesn't bother me here, as my armour stat is higher than the power of the ram and I'm not a spinner. I have a two wheel drive to out manouevre Feedback here and his side ground clearance is gaping wide. If I can grab him from there just go for the pit release and put him down the pit ASAP. He'll probably try to use the ram to get free, but the barbs on my wedge and my claws together should stop him getting away. There's actually a very good chance he'll run out of power long before the end anyway, as he's only using 2 NiCad battlepacks to power LEMs @ 48v, correct me if I'm wrong here.

Technically speaking, if the Packs he's using are 3000mAh or higher, they can power him through the match.
...you can't expect 6ah to last 48v LEMs throughout a typical match, with all the pushing involved :P I'd say a safe value would be at least double that.
Alex has requested to tone down his motors to 36v. I have allowed him to do so.
...it's still on the small side of things...it might last five minutes, it might not, it depends largely on how much pushing is involved.
Pushing probably won't be involved, seeing as his ramming bar can push his opponents away.

That doesn't matter. If both robots have the same drivetrain, then a ramming bar will either do nothing or shunt them apart equally. It won't thrust a more powerful robot away.Quote:

Classic Robot Wars Arena? lets throw that machine over the wall!!! Liar 2 packs plenty of flipping power and a superior speed to Lethal Weapon, as well as 2 wheel drive that allows me to be more agile, I'm gonna use all of that to avoid being hit by his disc, and to get my own weapon in. He may have (tivandium?) skirts, but I have a big thin wedge that is scraping along the ground and that is brought to the ground by the mass of almost my entire robot, which means I should be able to get under his skirts I think... With some luck I will score an OOTA straight away, with less luck his disc will bounce off the wall and he will be damaging himself as well as the wall. Well, I guess this rivalry will never end. Add that to the fact that both Heretic and Starfighter have made it to the Crazy Bots featherweight finals, and this only intensifies the rivalry.

And no, it's not revenge. Truth or Consequences isn't a wedge, and therefore was able to not get impaled on your side spike. Also, I'm not going to assume that everyone's a perfect driver, and therefore, you accidentally drove down the pit.
