Information
Tetanus is a heavyweight robot that was built by the Snook family from Shropshire. The first version of Tetanus was built in 2001 for the fifth series of the UK Robot Wars where it was beaten in the first round of its heat by previous grand-finalist 3 Stegs to Heaven. Tetanus 2 was built the following year for the sixth wars where it reached the second round of its heat losing to Raging Reality. The team also competed with a spinner robot called Tetanus Booster armed with a spinning disc which reached its heat final in the seventh wars losing to the reigning champions Tornado. Tetanus 2 was the robot the team mainly used though for the live events due to spinners being prohibited from being used in todays arenas.
