Information
Mega Morg is a Welsh heavyweight robot that was built by Dorian Caudy from Swansea (who used to manage the Welsh womens rugby team). Predecessors of this machine were called The Morgue and Mini Morg. The Morgue reached its heat final in Series 4 of the UK Robot Wars were it lost a controversial judges decision to Firestorm 2, Mini Morg lost the first round of its heat in Fifth UK Robot Wars to Kat 3 as it was shunted into the pit and reached the second round of the Extreme 2 Tag-Team Terror paired with X-Terminator where it lost to Hydra and Barbaric Response. Mega Morg took part in the UK Seventh Series where it reached the second round of its heat losing out to Robochicken. Mega Morg was well known for having the ability to self-right by rolling back on its wheels if it was flipped due to its rounded shape and low-centre of gravity. Mega Morg is in retirement, it did make one appearance at the Robots Live! event in Swansea 2012 where it went on display.
