      Information
Mantis was originally built in Balderton, Nottinghamshire by Duncan Chan-Pensley, Jonathan Leversedge & Chris Barber, it was built for Robot Wars Series 7. There it lost the second round of its heat but managed to win the Crusher Crunch-up special battle against R.O.C.S. and Pinser. Since Robot Wars, Mantis was sold to Team RCC who own a few heavyweights like Obsidian, Kan-Opener H-Spec, Splinter and Hannibal, it has since been rebuilt and re-modified to be smaller, stronger and have a more powerful crushing jaw. Mantis is recognised for its crushing jaw on the lifting mechanism which is designed to grab and pick up other combatants, hoping to leave opponents praying for mercy!
