      Information
Supernova is a heavyweight robot that was built by the Balendran family from Surrey. It was built in 2001 as the successor to their previous robot Oblivion which never enjoyed much success in Robot Wars. Supernova had fought in the UK Robot Wars since UK Series 5 where it lost in the first round to Behemoth, it came back for Series 6 where it did well on its way to the heat final where it lost to Spawn Again and fell in the first round to Storm 2 the next year as well. At the end of Series 7, Supernova also represented Sri Lanka in the 3rd World Championships due to the team having originated from there and finished as runners-up to Storm 2. Supernova's weapon was a very powerful spinning disc that always made a big mess of lots of the competitors that came in its way.
