      Information
Splinter is a heavyweight that was originally built by Stuart Weightman from Team Ivanhoe from Norwich. The first version of this machine was built in 2000 for the UK Fourth Series of Robot Wars where it beat Killerhurtz and Eric in its heat before getting utterly trashed in a very memorable battle by Hypno-Disc in the semi-finals. It earned vengeance on Hypno-Disc in the Extreme 1 Annihilator and finished 3rd. After losing Series 5 in the heats to Bigger Brother, Stuart Weightman decided to sell his creation on Ebay and was bought by Dutch roboteer Leo Van Miert. Under the wing of Team RCC, Splinter tried but failed to qualify for the UK Seventh Wars and also fought in a few Roaming Robots events. It retired after its last battle at the Roaming Robots event at the Billing Aquadrome event in 2004 where it took a lot of damage from Kan-Opener and Terrorhurtz.

I took three Featherweight Robots to the latest Robodojo live event November 2025 and had a spot of bother with all three.
