S.M.I.D.S.Y. is a heavyweight robot that was built originally in 1999 by 3 separate roboteers who built the robot over the internet. It had been competing in Robot Wars since Series 3. It made 3 heat finals losing Series 4 to Panic Attack, Series 5 to Chaos 2 and Series 7 to Atomic. S.M.I.D.S.Y.s name is stands for Sorry Mate, I Didn't See You, it got its name due to the fact the original team were all Motorcyclists and that its a common refrain heard from car drivers to motorcyclists. Since Robot Wars, S.M.I.D.S.Y. has been sold to 7 other teams and given to Jim and Morgan Leigh
