      Armour
      Shell is made of 3.2mm hardox. Flipper also has a rubber-mounted slap of plastic to absorb shocks taken from axes and hammers.

      Information
      Iron-Awe 5 was built in 2007 as a more powerful version of the teams previous robot Iron-Awe 3 which enjoyed a lot of success at the end of 2006. Iron-Awe 5 has enjoyed a lot more success than its predecessors finishing 3rd in the 2007 & 2011 UK Championships and winning the 2007 Winter Tour, 2008 UK Championships and 2010 UK Championships. Iron-Awe 5 has also got a very powerful flipper which is the key to its success as it is powerful enough to toss a lot of robots out the arena, it even managed to flip 5 robots out the arena in under 50 seconds in a battle at the Robot Rumble 2008.
