UPDATE
The axe works! So far I've only tested it at half voltage since I only had a 12v lying around, but it should have loads of power once I get hold of a 6s lipo.

Drive and weapon controls are now fully installed and operational! Even at just 50% voltage it can still self-right, and it made mincemeat out of an old heater I had lying about (see below)
Only three major things left to take care of now:
- Outer shell
- Safety link/locking bar
- More powerful battery
Very snappy self righting, and I feel sorry for that old heater, haha.
Looking awesome.
What did that heater ever do to you?
At lest the axe works.
Axes are cool again glad to see I'm not the only one!
I'm glad I'm not the only one too! This is my first foray into fast-acting weaponry, so it seemed like a good place to start. It may be a Swiss Army bot, but the axe will be the default weapon since right now it's the only one I know will definitely work as a srimech.
My hope is to have the lifter attachment ready by Manchester too, and since it's nearly 2kg lighter than the axe I can stick much thicker armour on in that configuration (6mm ally with the axe, 10mm with the lifter).
The shell is nearly ready! Been welding it together over the weekend and it's finally starting to take shape. I just hope it lasts through Manchester after all this effort....
