    Hi,
does anyone have a circuit diagram for how to make a bang bang motor controller, i tried to make one and it involves short circuiting the battery

Take two microswitches/relays and put the motor on the common terminals with + on the normally open and - on the normally closed terminals.

This means that when no switch is pressed then the motor is off and the battery isn't shorted. When one is pressed the motor will spin in one direction. If the other is pressed then the motor will spin in the opposite direction. And if both are pressed it stays off and the battery remains un-shorted.

It doesn't actually matter what way round the battery goes, all that counts is that you have both no contacts attached to one side of it and both nc contacts attached to the other side of the battery. If you want to do two motors, simply put another circuit in parallel.

There are a couple of videos posted somewhere on here about the physical layout.

Thanks that should do it. I didn't understand how to use the microswitches with the three connection points.
