Great job didn't realise you could buy the materials
This weekend we started working on our new Featherweight, Equinox. It will be a four wheel driven robot with a drum on its front. Its a bit inspired by Rango/Django.
Like Omega it will have a fully shockmounted brushless drive system. Omega is way overpowered so we chose the slightly smaller NTM4258-500KV this time.
The gearbox consists of two stages, a 3:1 with bevel gears and a 3:1 stage with a T5 belt.
The aluminium frame that you see on the last two pictures is purely as a mock-up/prototype.

That drive gearbox is a very clever use of space, don't think I have ever seen that arrangement before. What will the final chassis be made from - Hardox?
Still, straigth up sides. With cool embossing. Me like.
