    not yet

We are expecting the spinners to take another leap forward with some new technology around. Also we have a few come backs which look interesting. Surprised by the lack of flippers this year so far.

Fair enough, was worth a shot

Reliability is going to be a big thing I think as you said James, especially for the spinners. Spent the weekend beforehand last year bashing the robot around with/against Hornet, which was a big help in highlighting any problem areas and fixing them, rather than discovering them in the arena, and the results spoke for themselves with both machines I believe.

Depending on if there is an entry cut-off date soon or if it's just going to be before the draw, there's still a few weeks for more flippers to get in, although I won't be complaining if the flipper numbers stay the same

Definatly reliability is going to play a big part at these champs. As I said for our video I was very impressed by drum rolls upgrades which radically improved the performance last year. If the new machine drives well and can take the big hits I think it could be a contender, be under no illusions though, I think the steps forward made by the big teams this year could well be bigger than last year. Which is incredible.

Has anyone sorted any accommodation yet?

I ask because we're travelling down on Thursday and back on Monday so will probably be booking into a Travelodge on Thursday night/Sunday night. I've signed up for camping Friday/Saturday night but my dad isn't keen on it (occasional back problems mean a tent isn't the most comfortable for him, combined with our 2-man tent only really being big enough for one-and-a-half men at most) so he'll probably be looking at a Travelodge on those nights. But at almost £60-a-night it's a lot, so if anyone is looking for a room for Friday/Saturday night and would be interested in sharing a room/splitting costs with my dad, let me know. Nothing's booked yet but just looking at ways of keeping costs down, otherwise these four-day weekend trips can be expensive

P.S. Craig, Dave's already offered, but we'll be passing by Bristol too on the Thursday/Monday and could pick you up just in case you need a back-up lift.

I'm proud to announce that we have just recieved some more prizes for the event from one of our new sponsor's Horizon Hobby.
Horizon are the sole supplier's of Spektrum products around the world, and have been kind enough to donate some great prizes to add to an already pretty good list!

Horizon have supplied us with a Spektrum DX7 to add to first place prizes, a DX6i to add to 2nd place prizes, a DX5e to add to 3rd place prize's and they've also been kind enough to supply us with another DX5e aswell. Once the timetable is complete, we will see if we can fit in an Annihilator with 6 robot's and the winner will take the DX5e and a nice trophy. If there isn't time, we will come up with something else int he format, wether it be most entertaining or most improved etc etc.

I would like to say a huge thank you to Horizon Hobby for their support in our events.

Silverline Tools have also donated some very nice tool's to add to the above, and I will be recieving those very shortly aswell.

Silverline have found a local campsite to Fleet Air Arm's, and will be passing the information about it onto me later today/early next week. We will be camping there ourselves, and anyone wanting to join us is more than welcome!

I'm looking forward to it now!

Wow, nice job securing them as a prize supplier. I know everyone would still take part even if there weren't prizes but that extra incentive puts a nice edge on things

Looking forward to some campsite antics as well. The only time I've previously properly camped was the Euros and that was off the back of a week when I was ill as hell and on anitbiotics, so wasn't the greatest fun.
    Can't wait!

(P.S. Grant, did you get my email last week about the drum? My email's not been the most reliable lately so I have no idea if some messages have been sent or received )
