      Information
Steel Avenger was built originally by John Willoughby in 1999 for Series 3 of Robot Wars, it has changed a bit since then but always has had the axe as its weapon. Steel Avenger has done well in Robot Wars, it always lost in the heats of the UK Championships of Robot Wars but it did however win the Best Engineered Robot Award in Series 4 and finished runners-up in the Tag-Team terror with Suicidal Tendencies in Extreme Series 1. Since Robot Wars, Steel Avenger retired for a while from combat but did go on display with other robots at the Robot Rumble events like Chaos 2, Stinger & the Cassius robot series. Since, then Steel Avenger also reclaimed its famous feather duster that the previous team used to clean up the act of their opponents. As of late 2014, Steel Avenger fights as a Retro robot only in the Robot Wars Live events.
