Thread: a new beginning...

    Well, what better way to use my 1000th post than too give you guys a quick update on whats been going on in the Team Orr camp:

    My antweight event RFRC 3 was in September and i think i can say it was pretty awesome! had a good turnout with some new people and some new robots which was cool, lots of damage but that just adds to the fun! My all singing, all dancing house robot wasnt quite done in time but it should be ready soon. We also had several awesome Spall moments (the plucky little infrared robot that keeps on working) which was amazing...i thought it would be killed in its first fight TBH guess we will have to try harder next time...

    so started work on a new fleaweight spinner called diablo (altho i am thinking of renaming it deathbed: the bed that eats :-P )

    the motor has these cool connectors, but i think they may be cut off to save weight

    Its good if you decide to rename it, then there isnt 2 robots called diablo.

    ahh yeah just noticed that, iv had the diablo name for a while, just thought id put it on a active robot, will probs change it anyway,

    also, servo's are here :-)

    did alot of work yesterday, spinner should be mounted and soldered in today or tommorow, did a test and its very fast :-P servos are speed hacked

    it weighs 35g ATM so hopefully inside the 75g limit, still need to add weapon mech, blade, and receiver though...

    okay, so this isnt strictly just confined to robots, more RC all round, its not brilliant quality but i hope this will help some new comers thinking of getting started in 2.4Ghz and spectrum technology:
