I meant a skid over a caster/ ball transfer.
Also, rivets can be a massive pain to remove, particularly if ther are lots of them in your design.
i think il go with a skid then, i have some wood that i bought by mistake for my DT project in school, maybe it will be good to make a small frame out of.
i have mounted the drill motors to the robot but when i turn the transmitter on one of the wheels just continuously spins. its not the first time i conected them up to the reciever, it worked perfectly last time.
anyone know what might be wrong?
EDIT: just reconnected everything again and it worked fine. im still using my dads transmitter from his rc car just to test it, i should be getting a new one by the end of the week.
havnt got the transmitter yet, found you though that i need to get bigger wheels. im going to order the 100mm instead of the 75mm wheels next week.
Sorry to bump this topic, but I've read it from start to finish and it's pretty interesting, have you made any progress on the bot?
Unfortunatly i havnt got the time right now to continue the build for a few months because of exams , i should be able to start back in june/july when exams finish and i have more time and money.
sorry i didnt post earlier my parents keep on stealing my pc and hiding it
just messaged grant to order some 100mm wheels, the 75mm had trouble touching the ground.
i got most of the base of the robot done, but im thinking about scrapping it and getting a more sturdy base before i continue.
You can order them online now http://web.me.com/robochallenge/Robo_Ch ... Store.html
thanks, didnt notice that.
guess il order them off their instead.
