    Ok you lot, here it is.

    Sam Park: The carnage is on, so LET THE WAAAAARRRRS BEGIN!!!!

    (BATTLE 1!!!)

    From Glasgow, Scotland, Wedge Devolution!

    Wedge Devo has returned, looking to score big and to flip robots with the same flipper with plenty of strong flips which can chuck opponents into the mesosphere! 4mm Hardox is the armour, which is quite strong. However, no matter how many flips it has, it will run out, so it€™s got to be careful.

    From England, Armoured Wedgie 2.0!

    Armoured Wedge is another new robot to the sport, but do NOT be fooled! It€™s got a very big forward hinged flipper which can flip opponents easily; top that with tough armour, and good pushing power. Quite possibly, this is the opponent to beat here.

    From Texas in the USA, Bandwagon 3!

    Bandwagon is a new robot made by Mark Elam, driven by 24v S28-400 motors, with a very nasty rear hinged flipper on board that is powered by 2 Co2 tanks. The armour is tough as well, and it€™s a good all-rounder, but it€™s made by a novice€¦ does that make a difference?

    Roboteers, stand by€¦

    In booth 1, there is Steve and Lewis at the controls of Wedge Devo and Armoured Wedgie respectively, and in the second booth, there is Mark Elam standing alone at the controls of Bandwagon. There is also Shunt in the 1st CPZ, with the axe and the lifting scoop, and Mangled Metal in the other corner with the spinning ring of DEATH.

    3€¦ 2€¦ 1€¦ ACTIVATE!!!

    The battle has begun, and Wedge Devo is the first to move, but Bandwagon immediately moves towards Armoured Wedgie, and gets underneath!
    FLIP!
    The flip sends Armoured Wedgie flying, and it comes down with a thud! Armoured Wedgie self-rights, and fights back by getting underneath the side skirts of Bandwagon somehow and flipping it into the pit button! Now, the pit opens, and Bandwagon immediately self-rights at once! Wedge Devo joins the fun and gets underneath Armoured Wedgie, and now it carries the Wedgie into the spinner of Mangled Metal!
    CRASH!!!
    The spinner slams Armoured Wedgie with great amount of force, and Lewis€™s machine is sent spinning away, there! A dent can be seen in the armour, and now, Wedge Devo has even more fun with Armoured Wedgie, but it turns and gets underneath Wedge Devo and slams it into Mangled Metal!
    CRASH!!!
    One of the skirts is ripped off completely, and lying on the arena floor, but Bandwagon tries to avenge Wedge Devo by slamming into Armoured Wedgie and carrying it to the wall! Can Bandwagon do it€¦
    FLIP!
    YES! Armoured Wedgie is out of there, and a fantastic performance by Bandwagon, I must say! All over in less than 45 seconds!

    CEASE!

    Armoured Wedgie gets yanked right in the€¦ well, you get the idea.
    Wedge Devo and Bandwagon goes through to Round 2!

    Sam: Welcome back. We€™re about to start the second battle of the night, with three more victims!

    (BATTLE 2!!!)

    From Hoogvilet in Holland, Splinter!

    Splinter? Isn€™t that the name of the robot that got trashed by Hypno-Disc in the 4th Wars? However, it€™s much improved, with a new axe and grabbing arms, but it€™s still got somewhat weak armour, so it could get ugly again here, now that there are TWO spinners on steroids. :P

    From Escondio, California, Megabyte!

    Noted for winning the 2003 RFL championship, Megabyte is a very good robot with an outer shell that spins madly, hoping to cause damage to the max. However, it€™s got a very slow self-righting mechanism. Good robot, though.

    From Shrewsbury in Shropshire, and the Number 7 seeds, The Final Cut!

    Here we have lucky number 7, The Final Cut, with tracks instead of wheels, a HUGE spinning flywheel, and built by Andrew Jackson. It€™s very sturdy and destructive, but still tracks are exposed from the top, so 7 might not really be the lucky number for this robot.

    Roboteers, Stand by€¦

    There is Leo Van Miert and Tracy Farber in the first booth on the controls of Splinter and Megabyte, and Andrew Jackson looks focused there on the controls of Final Cut in the second booth. The house robots in this fight are noted for their huge hammers, yup, it€™s Head Smash and Mr. Psycho!

    3€¦ 2€¦ 1€¦ ACTIVATE!!!

    Off we go with the second battle of the night, and already, the two spinners spin up to speed. Splinter€¦ doesn€™t know what to do. Megabyte comes in onto the side of Splinter, carefully avoiding the front scoop!
    CRASH!!!
    Splinter is spun away, and the grabbing arm on one side is totally bent! A part of the armour is ripped away, as well! Now, it tries to retaliate and chases after Megabyte! Now, Megabyte immediately gets away, and up to speed again! The Final Cut now comes in on Splinter€™s side!
    CRASH!!!
    The other side is totally crunched, and pieces of armour go flying out of control and Splinter is running in circles, Megabyte now comes in with the spinner, and it slams itself into Splinter€™s side again!
    CRASH!!!
    How about that for a hit! The right side panel of Splinter is just hanging on by a thread, and I cannot believe that it€™s still mobile€¦ well, only just. Splinter made the series semi€™s in Robot Wars Series 4, only to get absolutely mangled in the 4th Round by Hypno-Disc, and it looks as though it€™s going to happen yet again! The Final Cut spins up now€¦
    CRASH!!!!
    ... and it has now ripped open one side of Splinter completely, exposing the mechanics! Leo puts the controls down, I think he€™s given up already! The Final Cut slams into the side again for the final blow!
    CRASH!!!
    The flywheel of The Final Cut spins Splinter away, and out comes some internal parts! Dear oh dear. Refbot comes in for the final countdown!

    Splinter is out of there! In come the house robots, and now, Head Smash and Mr. Psycho both come in with the hammer!
    CRASH!!!
    OH!! The armour takes more severe punishments, and now, Head Smash pushes the pit button, and Mr Psycho grabs Splinter! Now, it drags the remains of Splinter€”look at that€”and now, it drops Splinter into the pit! BOOM!

    CEASE!

    That wasn€™t even a battle.
    Megabyte and The Final Cut goes through to Round 2!

    Hey guys Mark sent me his tactics so i'll give em to ya

    My plan will be to try a head-on collision with his disc. My robot will probably survive a hit from his disc due to the Armox armor, but he'll be suffering quite a bit of damage. Simply, get under him and flip him OOTA as fast as possible.

    Wedge Devo VS Megabyte

    Roboteers, Stand By...

    There's Steve McGregor in the first control booth on the controls of Wedge Devo, and Tracy Farber on Megabyte's controls in the other booth. The house robots who will be controlling the fight is Matilda with the flywheel of doom, and Lancelot with the pincers and tracks.

    3... 2... 1... ACTIVATE!!!

    Refbot gives the green light, and immediately, look at this! Wedge Devo gets under the ground clearence of Megabyte before it gets up to speed, and flips it up in the air, and Megabyte comes down with a huge thud back on its wheels! Now, Megabyte gets a chance to spin up, and it crashes into the side of Wedge Devo without notice!
    CRASH!!!
    The side skirts are bent slightly, and sparks fly! The audience loves those sparks, and Wedge Devo turns on Megabyte, and flips it onto its back! Now, Megabyte is in trouble here already, it's trying to self-right, but it can't really seem to do so, because it has got no REAL srimech. Wedge Devo now slams into Megabyte and pushes it into Lancelot's pincers with its pushing power! Now, Lancelot comes in, and grabs hold of Megabyte! Megabyte is being dragged towards the saws! BZZZZT! Megabyte just gets ground up by the saws there, and now, Wedge Devo slams into the 2003 RFL champion that is Megabyte, carries it to the wall, and fires the flipper!
    FLIP!
    Just not high enough, and Megabyte bounces off the wall and comes back into the arena! Wedge Devo presses the pit button but now in comes Megabyte with a slam on the side!
    CRASH!!!
    The skirt that was previously bent is now completely ripped off! Wedge Devo does not like that one bit and it gets underneath Megabyte again and flips it over onto its back! Megabyte begins to spin frantically, and Tracy up in the booth looks focused, but Wedge Devo just slams into the former champ of the RFL, and carries it to the wall! Now, it fires the flipper... will the plan work this time...
    FLIP!
    ... NO, it does not! Megabyte escapes its doom once again, and now, Wedge Devo directly gets underneath Megabyte which is still on its back! It carries it ever so close to Matilda's flywheel, and fires the flipper...
    FLIP! CRASH!!!!
    Megabyte gets it good on the base armour and lands back on its wheels! Now, Megabyte is still moving, but something is wrong... its ability to spin has been disabled by Matilda, it looks like! This does not look like a good day for Megabyte, here. Its weapon is gone, which also means the srimech does not work anymore, as well. Wedge Devo comes in at full speed ahead, gets underneath Megabyte, and flips it!
    FLIP!
    That will do it for Megabyte. The wheels are spinning, but there is no movement in the weapon. The Refbot goes over there and starts counting it out!
    1... 2... 3... 4... 5... 6... 7... 8... 9... 10!!!
    A brilliant machine has been ousted from the competition, and now, in comes the house robots! Matilda plays with Megabyte with its front forklift tusks, and Lancelot puts Megabyte on the drop zone! What will we see today, I wonder? 3... 2... 1...
    CRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    It's a set of shotput balls and bowling balls falling on top of Megabyte from 38 feet above! Now Megabyte will be deposited into the pit by Wedge Devo any minute now... BOOM! Down it goes!
    FLIP!
    OI! Wedge Devo flips over the Refbot and tries to put it down the pit as well, but I don't think there's any room down there! Ah, these random house robot attacks, when will they stop...

    CEASE!

    Megabyte bytes off more than it can chew.

    Bandwagon VS The Final Cut (7)

    Roboteers, Stand By...

    There's Mark Elam in the first booth, controlling Bandwagon, and there is also Andrew Jackson, better known as AJ in the second booth, on the controls of The Final Cut. Now, presenting your house robots for this battle: Mindbender with the spinning hammers of doom, and Sir Killalot, with the claws and the drill/spear/lance-type thing, whatever it is.

    3... 2... 1... ACTIVATE!!!

    Refbot gives the green light signal and scurries for his life as The Final Cut spins up. He doesn't want to be like Splinter in the last battle, I would imagine. Now, Bandwagon plays the brave fool and slams frontally into The Final Cut's flywheel!
    CRASH!!!
    Sparks fly, Bandwagon goes spinning out of control, and the audience loves it! Bandwagon fights back, and charges into The Final Cut before it spins up, and flips it over! Now, The Final Cut has spun up to full speed, and now it also slams into Bandwagon's side!
    CRASH!!!
    Sparks fly and Bandwagon spins away again! All the work is being done by The Final Cut, here. Very impressive machine, I must say, it made it into the semi's last year with Yet Another Cut Above the Rest, but was beaten by Intrigue in the Round of 16. Anyway, Bandwagon now gets over to The Final Cut before it reaches full speed, sparks are flying, but Bandwagon is carrying The Final Cut into the CPZ of Sir Killalot! Sir K grabs The Final Cut and puts it over the saws! BZZT! The sparks are continuously flying, and still, The Final Cut is withstanding all of the harsh punishment here! The Final Cut gets away and spins up! Now, it slams into Bandwagon's side! Bandwagon tries to get away...
    CRASH!!!
    Too late. Bandwagon's armour withstanding the punishment very nicely but it spins away towards Mindbender's CPZ! Better get out of there, Bandwagon, you don't want to taste the hotness of those spinning hammers. However, Bandwagon seems to be in trouble as it isn't running so smoothly! It's still moving, that's for sure, but I think that attack by The Final Cut actually damaged some of the inside parts! Bandwagon is in all sorts of trouble here as it tries to get away from that CPZ! Mindbender is going to make Bandwagon pay for disturbing his peace and quiet!
    CRASH!!!!
    OH MY GAWD! That hit sends Bandwagon spinning away, and I think Bandwagon is out of it, to be honest... Bandwagon is still running in circles and Refbot is coming to count it out!
    1... 2... 3... 4... 5... 6... 7... 8... 9... 10!!!
    Bandwagon, you have been chopped, and the house robots come in for the kill! Sir K is putting Bandwagon on the floor flipper, and we will see some air time in 3... 2... 1...
    FLIP!
    Bandwagon gets catapulted 6 feet into the air and comes back down with a loud thud! Now, The Final Cut presses the pit button... and totally shreds it upon contact. We will have words with you later, Mr. Jackson! Now, Mindbender spins up, and slams into Bandwagon...
    CRASH!!!!!!!
    That will do it! Bandwagon spins into the pit rather awkwardly, but now The Final Cut spins up and takes on Sir K! It slams into the side, where the tracks are!
    CRASH!!!!
    ...and Sir K loses its tracks! Ah man, now I've seen pretty much everything. :P

    CEASE!

    Bandwagon gets the final cut.

    THE FINAL CUT!!!

    WEDGE DEVO!!!

    Roboteers, Stand By...

    There's Andy Jackson in the first booth on the controls of The Final Cut, and also in the second booth is Steve McGregor on the controls of Wedge Devo! The house robots... the big daddies, King Arthur with the clamping mouth and rear flywheel, and Mr. Psycho, with the grabbing hands and huge hammer.

    3... 2... 1... ACTIVATE!!!

    This battle is a grudge match of last year's final in Heat K. The Final Cut was known as Yet Another Cut Above the Rest, and it won the battle in a close judge's decision with Wedge Devo. Now, the question is, will history repeat itself here, I wonder? Wedge Devo tries proving that wrong by carrying the discbot into the wall! Now it fires the flipper with massive force!
    FLIP!
    Eh? How did that not go over the wall? The Final Cut bounces right back in, and spins up to fight another moment or two! Now, it attacks Wedge Devo with the flywheel with massive force! Wedge Devo tries turning...
    CRASH!!!
    The skirt is ripped clean off of its sockets, and Wedge Devo goes spinning away and crashes into the wall with some massive power! However, it seems oblivious to the attack, and gets under the ground clearence of The Final Cut! Now, The Final Cut is in major trouble here, as it gets carried into the wall once again! The 7th seeds find themselves on the brink of oblivion! This would be a terrible shock if it crashed out of here! Will it go out...?
    FLIP!
    NO it does not! Luckily for The Final Cut, it bounces off the wall AGAIN! The Final Cut spins up now, and tries to get the side of Wedge Devo!
    CRASH!!!
    The other skirt is ripped off as if it was paper, and there is also a small dent in the armour! But WAIT A MINUTE! Wedge Devo turns and The Final Cut is in trouble here as it gets carried to the wall! Is this it for the 7th seeds?!
    FLIP!!!
    AJ says no once again to the attack and gets the heck back in the arena! Now, The Final Cut spins up, and slams into the side of Wedge Devo! Wedge Devo tries to turn with the wedge...
    CRASH!!!
    A big scratch is made in the armour and Wedge Devo spins into Mr. Psycho's CPZ! The hammer comes down with massive force! Wedge Devo, you don't want to be in there...
    WHAM!
    ....too late. Wedge Devo is pounded by the hammer, but it's still able to run freely, and now, The Final Cut spins up again, and this time, it slams into the back of Wedge Devo with the flywheel...
    CRASH!!!
    The attack causes some scratches but nothing too major has happened, fortunately. Now, Wedge Devo comes in, and tries now to push The Final Cut down the pit, but WAIT! The Final Cut gets away just in the nick of time, very good defense there, I must say! In comes the discbot from Shrewsbury! Now, it spins up, and slams into the sides of Wedge Devo yet again!
    CRASH!!!
    The attack causes another scratch in the armour, but Wedge Devo spins away, this time right into KING ARTHUR'S FLYWHEEL!!!
    CRASH!!!
    Steve breathes a sigh of relief as the hit is not all that bad, it just flips over Wedge Devo and makes a dent. However, luckily, it still moves freely somehow. But now, time is running out here for both of these robots!
    10... 9... 8... 7...
    Wedge Devo self-rights, and gets underneath The Final Cut! Now, here comes Wedge Devo towards the wall!
    6... 5... 4...
    FLIP!!!
    The Final Cut says no to the flip yet again, and it's just not giving up here! My gosh, what a great battle this has been, indeed! Now, The Final Cut spins up one last time, and slams into Wedge Devo again!
    3... 2... 1...
    CRASH!!!
    The Final Cut makes another small dent in the side there, but both robots are still running!

    CEASE!

    That will do it for this battle! Now let's see what the judges have to say on that incredible battle!
