This is true it has been rebuilt 5 times since 1998 hence we are on EVO V, but the robot you see running around today is the same robot built in 2002, and seen in series 6 and 7, its only major parts that have had to be renewed are tyres/motors. But over 80% of the chassis/panels/body are still there from 7 years ago!!! Great to see that its still got its fans after all these years

Question: Did the basic concept of the present-era Behemoth come during Series 3, when the new scoop was fitted?

Yep, it's basically the same from series 3... although there have been several important upgrades

Interesting. 2 questions though...

1: What were those twin axes doing on the back of Behemoth Evo II? While they actually do something in the Robot Wars AOD game, what were they really for?

2: What happened to the original Behemoth? (Note: Behemoth I'm referring to is Behemoth Evo I)

The twin axes are a great demonstration of how an axe should not be designed! Pivot was far too low and not enough power! They were actually fired using the original actuators from Evo I.
