    Good fights Stevey boy as ever.

    Apocalypses barbs unfortunately are virtually perfect things for the Bore to snag on to, so I predict an easy win for the great grandfathers mothers room mates uncles sons doctors previous romantic interests passing acquaintance...of vapourbots? here.

    Thanks for being so patient, everybody. Put my delay down to procrastination, uni work and procrastinating on uni work.

    Now whats say we get on with this, shall we?

    HEAT B - THE STORY SO FAR:
    ROUND 1
    APOCALYPSE & TENGU VII won their battle after Apocalypse flipped both Dervish: The 1337 Generation and Under Pressure out of the arena!
    NERIX & THE CRASHING BORE 2 won their battle after Nerix battered The Kill Point into submission and the Bore grappled and pitted Fissure.

    ROUND 2
    THE CRASHING BORE 2 grappled and pitted Tengu VII.
    APOCALYPSE threw Nerix out of the arena!

    And now...

    HEAT B
    ROUND 3
    HEAT FINAL
    APOCALYPSE Vs THE CRASHING BORE 2

    House Robots - Michael Pliers & Dulcy

    Roboteers, stand by...
    3...2...1...
    ACTIVATE!

    The two competitors are off to a quick start. The Crashing Bore aims to plow into Apocalypse, but the blue wedge swerves to the side, narrowly avoiding a blow from the guillotine! Apocalypse charges into the veterans side, but only succeeds in pushing it to one side! Apocalypse turns to try again, only to be met by the Bore head-on! In the battle of wedge against wedge, Apocalypse proves the lower! The big red flipper fires, effortlessly flicking the Bore onto its back! Liam doesnt get a chance to finish it off however as the veteran flicks itself upright again almost immediately! Apocalypse dives in for another attack, clipping the Bores wedge! Rather keen to end this battle sooner rather than later, Frank sends the original vapourbot to the top of the arena, closely followed by Apocalypse! The Bore puts on a burst of speed and charges at the Void Activation Button! With the all-too familiar klaxon echoing in his ears, Frank turns his machine around as Apocalypse catches up! The trap snaps and snags the spiny blue wedge, though does little harm to its Hardox armour! Apocalypse repays the Bore by firing its flipper, nearly sending the veteran onto its back again! Remaining right way up and requiring some breathing space, the Bore bumps Apocalypse aside and darts back into the freedom of the warzone!
    Apocalypse chases down the Bore again and rams its rear as they pass the Flame Grill! Liam notices he has scraped under the back skirt and fires, tossing the Bore onto its back! Apocalypse charges the inverted veteran and begins pushing it towards the eastern wall! Liam is just getting ready to land the killing blow when the guillotine reright the Bore in a flash! Apocalypse screeches to a halt, very nearly slamming into the wall itself! The newcomer twirls around to continue its assault, but the Bore surprises it with a side-on attack! Liam tries to get away, but his machine is pinned between the Bore and the barrier! Even worse, the Bores front wedge has scraped underneath the titanium skirts! Frank snaps the trap and lifts Apocalypse into the air! Liam winces; a loud squealing sound tells us that the Bores drill is feasting merrily on Apocalypses aluminium underbelly! Liam fires the flipper, hoping his machine will buck itself free! Unfortunately, this does not appear to work! The Bore turns, carefully maintaining its grip, and shunts the Phoenix Cup champion into the CPZ of Michael Pliers! The House Robot welcomes Apocalypse with open arms - and an axe to the noggin! Liams machine has become the filling of a hammer sandwich! Apocalypse fires his flipper again, this time managing to free himself from its two opponents! The Bore backs off as its rival trundles out of the corner; but not before giving Michael Pliers a little flick for the bother hes caused! The little scamp!
    Reuniting in the arena centre, Apocalypse and the Bore are at it again! The Bore attempts to grapple the newcomer again, but Apocalypse just misses the guillotine with its superior manoueverability! The Bore turns to strike again when Apocalypse bumps into its side! Liam hasnt penetrated the skirting this time though and so a brief sumo match breaks out! Apocalypse slowly pushes the Bore down towards the bottom of the ring, with the veteran valiently resisting! Franks even fired the trap to try and anchor himself to the floor! This doesnt stop Apocalypse however as the Phoenix Cup champion keeps up its dogged assault! At last the Bore manages to turn itself around, bringing the guillotine down on the blue wedge! Liam instantly fires the flipper, catching the trap and flicking the Bore off the ground! Apocalypse takes advantage of its opponents dazed state and plows underneath, throwing the veteran right over with another flip! Frank activates the guillotine and the Bore self-rights...straight onto Apocalypses barbed body! Without missing a beat, Apocalypse rockets down towards Dulcys den! The flipper fires once again...and the Bore goes crashing into the House Robots scaly maw! Landing upside-down, the veteran hurridly self-rights as Dulcy lowers her head and lets loose a firey belch! The Bore dodges the razor-sharp claws and flees the CPZ in a flash of red, slightly singed but barely scratched!
    Apocalypse and the Bore reconvene near Killeidascope Corner and now tensions are running high! The two competitors begin circling each other, trying to find the right moments to strike again! That moment comes when Apocalypse manages to clip the Bores wedge! The trap fires, but hits only the floor as Apocalypse butts its side! The newcomer wriggles, attempting to get under the skirting once more, when the Bore swings around and brings the guillotine back into play! Apocalypse has started to back off, but the trap still manages to snag some of the barbs! Liam fires the flipper, pushing the trap away, but gets shunted by the Bore before it can retaliate! The Bore clamps Apocalypse again with the guillotine and shoves the newcomer into the southern wall, just a few feet shy of Killeidascope Corner! Frank grins as his wedge scrapes under Apocalypses skirts - its drilling time! As the familiar squeal hits his ears, Liam fires the flipper once more, batting the trap away and shaking his machine loose! Apocalypse quickly regains its grip and reverses off of the Bores wedge! The newcomer slams into the Bores side in an act of vengeance and pushes hard, nearly sending the veteran into the despicable drum housed in Killeidascope Corner! Breathing a sigh of relief, Frank tries to turn the Bore around and bring the trap back into the play! He succeeds...but misses Apocalypse! Apocalypse however scores a perfect hit as it rams the Bore again and scrapes underneath the side-skirts! The flipper flies open and the Bore flies onto its back! Apocalypse dives underneath and begins shunting the Bore up to the top end of the arena! Unfortunately for Liam, he doesnt get very far before the Bore smoothy rights itself! Thatll score Frank a few lovely Style points and hell need as many as he can gather, because time is ticking down and the Judge is sharpening his quill...

    CEASE!

    And so the battle ends rather fittingly with our competitors locked together. With both robots still mobile, its up to the Judge to decide who makes it through to the Grand Final. Has Apocalypse brought Franks world to ruin or has the Crashing Bore sunk Liams dreams?

    APOCALYPSE
    DAMAGE = (1/5) * 3 = 3 (Aside from a few scars and a singed paintjob, very little damage done to the Bore)
    AGGRESSION = (5/5) * 2.5 = 12.5 (Constantly on the Bores heels and rarely backing down. Top marks, laddy.)
    STRATEGY = (3/5) * 2 = 6 (Did its best to stick to the sides and bonus points for using Dulcy)
    CONTROL = (4/5) * 1.5 = 6 (Silky-smooth control throughout with only the occasional hiccup)
    STYLE = (4/5) * 1 = 4 (Apocalypses flips and twirls mean big marks for Liam)
    TOTAL = 31.5 / 50

    THE CRASHING BORE 2
    DAMAGE = (3/5) * 3 = 9 (Both guillotine and drill have clearly left their mark on Apocalypse, as did Michael Pliers hatchet)
    AGGRESSION = (4/5) * 2.5 = 10 (Decidedly dogged throughout, though not quite as much as Apocalypse)
    STRATEGY = (4/5) * 2 = 8 (Its main tactic to latch on and drill worked out jolly well. Bonus points for using Michael.)
    CONTROL = (3/5) * 1.5 = 4.5 (Smooth and steady, though not always hitting its target)
    STYLE = (3/5) * 1 = 3 (Wins points for its self-righting, loses points for its boorish barges)
    TOTAL = 34.5 / 50

    THE JUDGES VERDICT: The Crashing Bore 2 wins by 34.5-31.5

    By a margin of only three points, its Apocalypse for whom the end is nigh! Give my regards to the mutant zombies, Liam.
    THE CRASHING BORE 2 GOES THROUGH TO THE GRAND FINAL!

    Congratulations to Mr Frank Goacher!
